Hello everyone, and welcome to my new subscribers. Thank you for joining me on my journeys with a camera. If you haven’t seen it already, you can read a little about me in my welcome post. Do introduce yourself in the comments and tell me where in the world you are; I’m curious.
I did wonder yesterday, given that spring or even summer had arrived, whether this post would be appropriate given the weather conditions in some of the images. However, the equinox gales are now gusting outside in all their glory so back to normal.
There won’t be so many words from me this time, I’ll let the images do most of the talking. However, there are a lot of photos which means the post will appear as clipped or truncated in an email. To see the whole thing just press VIEW ENTIRE MESSAGE at the end of the email and you’ll see it in one. Or head to the online version.
A few weeks ago, Mali, a friend and fellow photographer came to visit. He is going to be running a residential workshop, with some help from yours truly, from the accommodation on our farm. This was only his third visit to Scotland, and we were heading out to recce locations for the workshop. It’s always a joy to show the treasure trove of our surrounding landscape to someone who hasn’t seen it; I see it through new eyes. It’s all too easy to stop appreciating what is on the doorstep.
These are a small selection of the images I took as we headed over to the West Coast. We had all sorts of weather conditions over the two days, but I really think Mali saw Scotland in its finest mantle.
Did Mali see Scotland at its best? Let me know what you think in the comments.
I love all these earthy tones. Scotland is such a beautiful place!
Very much like the two Lochluicharts!
