i am Romanian, born and living in Bucharest and Transylvania is my favorite part of the country. I visited 17 countries but nothing compares to this land in my heart. You captured many beautiful sides of this area through your photos and stories It was a treat to read the article and revisit these places.

This is excellent, thank you! Lots of information and really beautiful photography. I love your deep dives into place, the way you combine all those elements which make somewhere what it is, sharing the details you've noticed through both word and image. Exemplary!

You have created an image of this charming country with your gorgeous photos and words that is so vivid and alluring Lynn, it reminds me a little of Eire (minus the communist aspect of course) when we first arrived there to live a slower life... sadly it changed all too quickly! Hopefully Transylvania won't 🙏🏼

Yes, there was definitely a slower rhythm to life in the rural areas. Every village we passed through I could see the older generation gathered in small groups on chairs outside houses watching and discussing the world as it went by.

I’ve been to Transylvania before, and it’s definitely one of my favorite places! I love how your post captures the beauty of the region, and the way you highlight its rich history adds so much depth. It totally changes how you think about the place. Your photos are amazing and make me want to go back and explore even more!
